Thank You!
A huge helping of Irish blessings to one and all who made this event possible for the kids and a big thank you to the re-enactors, entertainers, volunteers, and committee. We are proud to say we had more kids in attendance this year than last, and had the best group of volunteers and re-enactors. Thank you all for making this event so fantastic!

Please talk to your PTOs and schools about coming to History Fest 2009 - we'd love to have you!

Thanks again

History Fest - Playfully Preserving History
Come join the fun! History Fest is held annually during the 2nd weekend of October at the McGowan Farm, Mankato, Minnesota. This year's event is October 8th-10th!

Kids get hands-on learning experiences with periods in history and have the chance to interact with other adults outside of their own home that widens their horizons.

Get a taste of what it was like in days gone by....you'll find a variety of entertainers and activities ranging from re-enactors of 17th century Scotland and the Old West to belly dancers and fire-eaters, launching a catapult, cider making, cannon shooting and so much more. CHILDREN CAN GET HANDS-ON-LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT WILL MAKE LEARNING ABOUT HISTORY FUN! IT IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS AND PLAYFULLY PRESERVING HISTORY! Every school age child will have the opportunity to attend through their school.

Support History Fest and keep it going for our kids!
